TB-01 can drift well enough but not the mini cause if i not wrong it is a FF car not AWD/4WD and only 4WD can drift in 1/10 scale.
Any more quries pls come down to the drift meet so can show u what it mean.

thanks for you reply, but the TG-10 is 4WD it is a nitro car with a wheelbase of 257mm
i wish i could go to one of your meetings but i am from the netherlands so that is a bit impossible at the moment.
by the way what do you think of the Mugen seiko MSX3?

if you want a Mugen nitro car... get the MTX series. the rest are not worth the money. you spend a lot on buying new cars that cannot perform and that would cost you more than buying a good car.

I prolly sound like the rookie here, ;D but can xmods drift?? and if they cant stock, wat do they need?? I'm not sure if the AWD option for Xmods is a 4WD option. It should be easier to control your drift if you have 4WD but if you don't , I ever come across MiniZ that drifts so it is possible to make Xmods drift as well. Setup wise I'm clueless. HPI Micro would probably have better chance drifting; I have one and an idea of using baby powder on stock tyres to drift around the house but never get to do it....no time yet.

BK track fee is S$5 for a Day(Not 1/2 Day) and S$6 for weekend.
BTW pls check whether there is a race on that weekend first be4 going down to play and also NOT PVC drifting allow on the track.

BK's place is a great place to drift!! I find having a clear & wide track layout, like at BK's track, makes it easier for drift newbies like me to learn. But I accidentally used PVC there a few times. Didn't know that it was forbidden. Pai seh BK was too nice to tell me directly not to use PVC. Next time, I'll ask him if using electrical tape is ok.

I have a mod motor think 13 turn, no PVC tyres yet, and I'm hesitating to drift cos my car always break his aupper tie arm when i kiss the wall.. sigh... personally i don't think a 13T is suitable for Mini Express... given the power and fragility factors... A silvercan 27T with stiff gearing will have less damage on impact while speed is considerably high enough. You can modify the upper link to a stronger one but the main problem is your driving, shouldn't have hit the wall in the first place (at high speed) so... practice is the solution.

may i ask if u guys would choose TT-01 or TL-01 ? thank TL-01 is an older generation compare to TT-01, so spare part is a tad hard to find although the car is tough and its gearing has much better range compare to TT-01. In terms of handling, the TT-01 has better cornering (lower CG) but less tough in parts although hop ups and replacement parts are widely avb.

FF or RR can not drift no matter how you mod it. It can do power slide but not a drift like a 4WD pull.
