larger diameter PVC....on Yok D, although the same PVC it may jack 'the 'looks' up a bit. Can try on ready to dispose racing tyre (instead of those xp Yok D), what u say professr M? i dun see a need to do this... probably dun hav smaller size pvc ;D

we've used stiff tyre (PVC) do you think 'stiff but slightly softer tyre' would have certain advantage?

doubt so... its still pvc gray... not abs black anyway by doin tat u need to have bigger wheel arc... if u hav and need to test, i hav the integra shell tat can use... remember the "RALLY TL01" integra tat chase all the buggies!!! FU WAH!!!

still better looking than only PVC on rims mah? Larger dia tyre may require slightly higher gearing to break traction but.. Anyway, i would try to get 'All Blacks' look ... stay tuned -wink-wink-

apart from the dogbone pin which is replaceable, i will do proper setup for my 04Pro. From most of JP website, their 04 have extra weight at the bumper. I suppose this to hold steering at high speed...mine don't steer well at hi speed, well anyway gotta fix the setup first. Will go for super neutral suspension, bit of camber and less rear toe in.

ran the tc4 yesterday... stock setup, changes are the droop settings(pvc too thin haha), using front one ways... not bad, but not there yet... not like my current pro2 setup... but throttle response is much better, guess my pro2 belt is givin way ;D
anyway my current pro2 setup is as follows: Front 40wt oil Tamiya Gray Springs(One step harder than white) 0.5 deg toe out -0.5 camber Front Diff locked(epoxy front way)
Rear 40wt Tamiya White Springs 1 deg toe in
Motor: 23T Geared at 7.5 for torque
Will post the setup sheet if i got the time...

hmm ... may i know the effects of negative camber for the front ? it affects the contact patch of the tires during cornering... for front a lot of factors... such as roll center, caster etc. basically we try to achieve an even tire wear...

hmm ... so the outcome is tat t he pvc wud be abit like a cone shape rite ? like tat have to sort of wait to season the pvc and let it seat in lor ? and the motive is to also achieve more traction and thus control on pvc?
paisei ah .. curious bout settings.. thankz !

0 caster + 0 camber = minimum push + maximum spin tendency ... good for tight corner but lame on big sweeper. Maybe FR lock can compensate, nt entirely sure.

Finally manage to transfer all my electronics from the tt-01 to the tc3... Had quite a few problems along the way....lol Haven't quite fully tested the tc3...seems to be in good condition..... Question.... can't seems to fit my silver can on the motor cam....i had to use my tamiya super stock tz.........is it only for brushtype motor or is there any other silver can that can fit.... ??

|
Post by GTO on Oct 23, 2005 15:39:48 GMT 7
not sure abt that, cos in the long history of TC3 i've never come across silvercan setup for TC3. Check again the length of the motor, possible won't fit as well. If so then forget abt the silvercan, goto next level, run your TZ.

some silvercan has bigger bushing housing compare to normal 23T stock motor etc. Don't force the cam in..
