MSC?

Post by GTO on Jul 15, 2005 15:01:16 GMT 7
MSC got 2-3 fix speed step leh. Not linear... for eg. MSC: y=rev, y=0, y=1, y=2 ESC: y=x (or can be set exponentially)

thats my car and its exactly the same..well.. maybe it doesnt need any esc to drift.. four wheels is enough?... by the way.. i dont get the meaning of MSC: y=rev, y=0, y=1, y=2...

Dude....get an ESC...it will save you lot's of trouble..... And drifting with 4wd isn't enough....there's steering and throttle control that you need to learn....

And dun play play with that car cause got a real carbon shaft. And if u are getting a ESC pls go and get a no turn limit 1 cause that motor is not a 27turn stock motor

For clearer picture, throttle neutral to full speed is 100%, you will only have a FIX throttle steps at speed equal 0% (neutral), 50% and finally 100%. MSC can't make the throttle at 10% or 11% or 35% or 68% or anything that is outside the FIX throttle step setpoints. ESC cover 0 to 100% throttle without any steps/setpoints. It fills all the range the MSC could not cover which is very important to car speed controlling when drifting.

just like 2 ask,is it good 2 keep ur 1/10 as stock as possible or as more custom as possible???

Post by GTO on Aug 30, 2005 13:18:41 GMT 7
depends on which perspective you are looking at from. If you're budget constrained then keep it stock but tune it to the max. If you're not then tune it to the max and add bling blings to make it look even nicer.

if you got budget at TB02 range then by all means get it. TT01 is for beginner with tight budget. You can consider the TA05 too in that case.

Can be anything......a screw might pop out while your're running your car....now you won't be able to know where that screw came from....but if you know your car inside out.....one look at that screw....and you know where it came from.....

hey everyones saying 2 get a TT01 but are TL01s just as good for new drifters?
|
|
|
Post by GTO on Sept 23, 2005 11:51:35 GMT 7
to certain extent, yes it is good enough to drift. Which one is better is subjective, for me TT01 is better because of low CG but TL01 is more durable and have higher gearing for top speed. Make sure you have the spare parts available as well.

If you go for a Tamiya TT-01 or TT-01D. I'd say budget about $400 - $500 to get everything you need to start.
TT-01D kit. Transmitter + Receiver PVC Tires. 3300mAH battery pack. (Rechargeable batteries for Remote Control also maybe) Peak battery charger. and some misc hop ups (Spur and Pinion gears, 540J Motor, Aluminium driveshaft, Motor heat sink, etc.)
All you need to put it together is a Medium Phillips-head (cross) screwdriver, a pair of plastic cutters and a pair of scissors.
For maintenance you can get by with: A cleaning brush, same screwdriver, cleaning cloth/tissue and some grease.
