Well Dom....what i know is that duct tape drifting works best on a smooth flooring like marble flooring...tarmac surface is still too grippy..... I think one of a member did tried it and he ended up shredding the tape.... ...but he used pvc tape though...not too sure bout duct tape....

Yup, Colorado, USA. I have some PVC tires now, and am about to head out to the pavement this weekend. I have been doing it in the hallway so far and it is a lot of fun. Heading down the hall and doing about 10 360 spins in a row is pretty fun!

Hi Guys , I would need some advices. Firstly, I cant control my drift, when i throttle too hard during a drift, my whole car spins out or when i throttle too little, it does drift but aint a complete turn. Tried to gauge what's just nice but er.... its hard... Second, the engine have a small screw to lock the pinon gear to the shaft of the engine.. Is it usual to have it loose everytime ? *Ps Sorry for the stupid questions ask..

Hmm the pinion gear shouldn't be coming loose, did you mount it correctly? If you stare at the engine shaft you'll there is a side that is slightly flattened. Make sure the locking screw is positioned over this flattened area, then tighten it well, it shouldn't come loose. As for the controlling of the drift, heh I am also having pretty much the same problems you're describing. If I throttle hard it just spins out, and throttling too little results in a weak drift.. I have managed a few decent drifts but I can't do it consistently yet. My WRX shell is collecting a good amount of battle scars from practicing, but so far no cracks or paint peeling off, woohoo! I think it may just be a matter of getting used to delicate throttle control and countersteering, but I'm going to try to get one of the sifu to test drive my car tonight at the drift meet and help me adjust it if necessary. Easiest way is to just bring your car down to the drift meet and have one of the expert mechanics look at it

Try to ask dabomb to grease up your front and rear diff and the problem will be settle.
Sorry i am a very lazy person when it comes to typing. So it is better to ask dabomb tonight.

Thanks in advance for any help and Happy Drifting~ ok TT=01 is a rc model made by tamiya which is an electric model (ep) . Gp is those nitro cars gp is not grand prix Ok expect to pay about 500 for start 220 to get a TT-01 100++ to get a decent charger for your batts 100++ to get a decnt transmiter cause the 1 they provide sucks most ppl can agree And a few upgrades like ballberings will help a new set of rims and pvc to start drifting pvc and rims can get cheap at winnies at orchard plaza

Omg so much.... Die arh i only have about 300 at most.... The charger for the batt was is it use for?? What is the transmitter use for? For the remote to control the car? Is it in the car? Is the TT-01 wat they called RTR type?
Post by Tonafio on May 12, 2005 22:23:16 GMT 7
charger is to charge your batts duh and yest its a rtr just need batt transmiter is used to control your car but if you tight on buget just use the 1 they provide good enough so 300 would cover for athe car battery and a lousy wall charger its advisible to get a peak charger your batt will get more life

Sorry i think i ask the wrong qns. What i meant was the charger for the batts is charging wat types of batt? Those AA one?
So maybe around 220 to get a TT-01 So the rest i need is a charger+ batt and a tx? Maybe can get a 2nd hand one? Possible to get them cheap?
Post by Tonafio on May 12, 2005 22:44:17 GMT 7
yes 220 for the TT - 01 the charger is used for charging 7.2 volt battery. The TT - 01 uses a 7.2 volt battery unlike those from nikko using aa batts and if tight bugget use the tx they provide good enough batt dont get 2nd hand charger can
