Yup. Hobbylink only bring in on special order request. Price around S$400+ Personally I would prefer this chassis over the Cyclone S in many many ways... I read somewhere someone had even TQ in a race with this car is STOCK form... amazing!

but the chasis are made of wat material? reinforced plastic parts? FRP. like the one used for f103gt. got chance check out xray website for info on this car. so far, it comes with full CVD, alum motor mount, adjustable shocks which is really decent. the only main difference from a T2 is the carbon chassis & the front one way & some bling stuffs

Hi Folks,
a friend of mine just started drifting with his XRay T2R with custom race setup. He just put PVCs on and go. With a front 1way and the rear diff half closed it was wonderful to watch this car drifting.
OT: As I wrote in my introduction, we're planning in building up a drift team here in Luxembourg, name will be "Drift deLUXe"
cheers, Mike

Btw, over there in Europe, it is much much cheaper to get a Xray car compare to us. Over here it is much cheaper to get a Tamiya How I envy you guys...

i've checked out the T2R... it is selling like hotcakes.... given the features of the chasis and materials used compared to price ratio, unbeatable!

oh, for sure i agree the t2r seems better than the cyclone s! but with the cyclone s retailing at about $250 and the t2r at about $400+, it may not be fair to compare the 2 as such. there's a recent issue of a magazine (i think r/c action or extreme r/c or something, look for it at kino), look for the issue with 2 ae86s on the cover, it's got a side by side comparison/test of the cyclone s vs. the t2r. check it out if you're deciding b/w the 2 . incidentally iirc the cyclone s won over the t2r overall in that review.

i think the price difference of the t2r and cyclone s is about 100+.. and for those looking for a bling bling t2r, might b a little disappointed.. there aint much blings for the xray as compared to hotbodies, hpi or tamiya. however, for technical settings and on the fly adjustments, t2r definitely wins the cyclone. jus my 2cents worth.

Just saw the review article from XRCars. Comments seem to be very much towards the advantage of Cyclone S and also reflected on the lap time on the test.
It is really up to individual to decide what chassis he prefers.
I had a Xray T1 and I can understand the effort Xray had put in their cars. There are one of the very few that provide u with a detailed setup book to guide you and the adjustability of their cars eg. ball diff adjustment without having to dismantle anything!
What more to ask for?

HI! experts may i ask which is a better option between the Xray chasis or the TRF 415 double xx chasis? help appreciated thanks a million.. Wah! This is a very personal question. Can't answer on how each individual feel about T2 or 415. However, On Xray: Xray car are fantastically package with almost everything complete nothing to hop-up eg. T2 007 kit and their parts are of very high quality and durable. Best of all, it comes with a setup book on how you can setup the car! The support is Fantastic! Those who keen on jumping into serious racing will definitely benefits from all these... But you have to beware about the parts availability and the cost of each parts. As only very few local HS have them and they are really not cheap eg. a CF shocktower at S$35! If you have lobang overseas or been travelling often, perhaps u can considering getting them cheaper elsewhere. On 415: They are launching 415MSXX soon which make the 415 Marc Reinhart Edition look outdated... it is still puzzling if Tamiya is going to continue the 415 series strongly or it is coming to an end soon... becos the recent launched of the special edition chassis based on TA05 may be telling something... anyway 415 is closed to being perfect now. Personally, I may wait a while if I am not urgent to get a new high end kit also partly becos Team Associated is going to launch the TC5 belt drive car (soon?) as seen in recent IFMAR. Rumours seem like TC5 going to be in metric for all its screws size...

Is it difficult to buy spare parts of the xray t2r? where can u get them? Hi bro, T2R is using the same parts from T2. Not too sure if it is the same for the T2 007 kit. So far official local HS that Xray recognise as a dealer is Hobby Link. However, did saw a few pieces here and there at BK and this new HS Hobby thingz is seemingly bringing in Xray in for sale here... Hopefully the market here is opening up for Xray cars...

Hope that is going to be some good news. More choices now for us besides 415 and Cyclones. Look forward to TC5 from Team Associated too
