let tentatively put the meeting times as above, 1 meeting in the weekdays and another weekend
wednesday 3:00pm till 6 or 7 ba, maybe eat liao then go home... saturdays 10:00 till 3:00 we'll have lunch too
i'm not so sure bout the cca attendance in SP. just come as much as possible. the purpose of the meeting is not just to learn drifting(u can do it sumwhere else), it's to share skills and tips, technical or driving wise. becos we're gonna rep sp as a TEAM so bonding is also important. and also we can meet up to help settle sum ppl car problems or wateva...
there is still no room allocated to us yet and the cca haven't started, but it should be by the end of october.

okok i noe tat there'll be ppl who cannot make it...so dun worry, we'll work it out
today sum1 suggested tat we use sp as a home ground for meets tat'll be held every other day(or alternate days), ppl from outside will come into sp to use the facilities, however the scacred clubroom still out of bounds la, then ppl can come in borrow wateva solder, plier, blower, sucker and all la..lol no vulgarities intended...
just trying to figure out, i think tat the pioneers of SPRCC better be playing long term, so u'll be the in charge of all these meets.

I strongly recommand saturday as our meets. It is really hard to find a suitable time slot during weekdays as members r studying. Also, SP alumni would be able to find time coming back during weekends compair to weekdays as most of them r working.
I will goes to the numbers.

let c how its go as it realli hard to decide on the day but I believe it some of the SP members held jobs during the weekends as weekdays they would be studying..thus I support the suggestion given by Kuang like having the meet like alternate days or etc

Why not hold it at 6 to 9pm then ? Like on a Friday. Thus you can go home late and not worry about waking up at 6am to go for a darn lecture at 8am the next day. I know it cuz i dread 8am lectures It's just a suggestion

i think here's how we have the alt day thing, not really alt days though. based on comments and previous "i can make it days" by members, i suggest:
wed: learn techniques, race, drift runs, tuning and maybe a little bit of real cars guide where we have a little "lecture" on real cars. time: 3:30 to 7/8
fri: just come for a few runs and tune a little, maybe hold intermember race. time: 2:30 to 5/6
sat/sun:usually would be saturday unless most ppl cannot make it. i say it'll be a evening event, morning sessions will be fortnightly.basic drift meeting time: night: 7 to 9 day: 10 to 3
remarks: the contents are wat i have in mind now, feel free to comment them then i'll change accordingly.

if u are reading this first, please read the post above.
here's a more detailed of how the club will be run. we'll have a little room where we place all our things in, sch bags, spare parts, tools, unfinished paint cans, notebook and tuning sheet(will be prepared for ppl to record their setup) track equipment, cones, pvc circuit pipes, alot of fans, and maybe a blower for dry cleaning the kits and batt chargers.
during meetings, we firstly just meet up then do a short run, or rather like playing around while waiting for other members to arrive, then we'll discuss wat we are gonna do(it'll mostly be the same everyweek) talk about upcoming events, demos, race meets, etc, then we take the equipment that we need and setup in a sheltered area(if bo bian then outdoors). then we'll also have a small area by the side to instantly allow players to change their settings. we'll set up more than 3- 5 circuits if alot of ppl is here. otherwise it'll be 1 or 2 circuits(1 for racing another for lapruns) for learning new techniques i suggest members take it elsewhere so that they wun crash other ppl's kit and scratch allover the place. also we'll have a fortnightly lesson on tuning real cars or rather real racing and how it is out there. the time where most things will happen will be on weds. on fridays we'll have 3 circuits, 1 for lap runs, 1 for drift race(where u win by reaching the finishing point by drift), and drift showcases(win by obtaining passes, rules will be known later). to remain competitive, we need to quickly set up a ranking system between club members. on saturdays, we mainly will be meeting in the morning at sch and for the nights will be outside, night meetings will mostly be once in every 1 or 2 months
please read thoroughly esp for club members, we have a very important goal to achieve, u'll noe it on the first meeting, for ppl who love nothing but racing, it'll be a very interesting club for u.

don't you think your ideas are abit gone off course?? idunno about you..since its onli a cca..u still have to think about your members...about how ur plans wud affect their studies..some can cope..wad about those who aren't capable of doing so? i think here's how we have the alt day thing, not really alt days though. based on comments and previous "i can make it days" by members, i suggest: wed: learn techniques, race, drift runs, tuning and maybe a little bit of real cars guide where we have a little "lecture" on real cars. time: 3:30 to 7/8 fri: just come for a few runs and tune a little, maybe hold intermember race. time: 2:30 to 5/6 sat/sun:usually would be saturday unless most ppl cannot make it. i say it'll be a evening event, morning sessions will be fortnightly.basic drift meeting time: night: 7 to 9 day: 10 to 3 remarks: the contents are wat i have in mind now, feel free to comment them then i'll change accordingly.

u muz be thinking tat i'm very selffish on the days. but if u read previous posts(which u haven't been doing) u'll realise tat the "i" actually means to all the members in the club, i changed all the times the moment 1 member cannot make it...i change and change not for me only, but also to all the days tat members can make it...a start of a club muz have plans, although we call ourselves sprcc, dun u think it's a litttle waste of time to just race or drift our kits? if tat's the case, saa wouldn't allow, it's just a get-together than a cca, where u learn other things too...
members of sprcc, those who agree to having the "lectures" on real racing cars and drifting please comment

I guess there r many comments about time, tracks, stuff to learn etc. Now i just wan to clear things up TIMEi tok to couple of members yesterday during the meet at SP n i agree tat most of the members r working during weekends. Therefore, saturday n sunday r out! Friday will be a gd day. TRACKSkuang89, its impossible to set up more den 1 circuit as the area we used is half of a normal basketball court. If the members increase, will request for more area so to form bigger circuit, not making another one. STUFF TO LEARNOur club is on RC, other den RC will be yr own. I wan members to concentrate on RC alone, rather den mixing RC with real drifting. If members wan to discuss about real drifting, discuss after our club events. Visit THIS forum if u wan to know more about real life drifting. Is open by one of the member of SGDrifters One more thing, pls keep all words as low tone as possible to aviod any unhappyness amount drifters. Remember, this is just a hobby, i dun wan end up seeing drifters fighting for something which is stupid. This CCA is supported by SGDrifters, so do respect any drifters who comments our views. Kuang86Yr overall planning for the club is gd, but pls look at the current problems. Our club is not offical open yet. Tat is our main problem. Wat happen if the result is a failure? The plans we both have will be wasted. I hope u can reconsider anything b4 posting any info or details here. AlexanderYr comments is one of the problem i face b4 forming this club. Like i said this club is a hobby club. Members can choose to leave if they feel they can't cope with their studies or etc etc. Dun say CCA, even without starting this idea in school, i believe most drifters who r students in SGDrifters still can cope with their studies n enjoy playing. The choose is them, we can't force them to stay, n we can't force them to leave.
