Welcome to SGDrifter forum. wow a 1/5 drifter? That will be the first one i know. As other 1/5, looks like your car is RWD. as a comparison, a 1/10 EP with RWD will have a spinning motion instead of drift but i suppose you can try with PVC/ABS that matches your rims and check out the result and move from there. Another thing, a balance car is also easier to drift, capable of better manouvre. Looks like your car is heavier at the back. Just my opinion.

GTO, thx for the input
So its more difficult to drift with only RWD? The engine is indeed in the back what makes the car more heavy there. balancing is not possible i cant move the engine that far forward.
what do you mean by "PVC or ABS that matches my rims" , finding tyres made out of ABS/PVC or find some "drainpipe" and make my own tyres? I gues that tyres for drifting on a 1/5 are not on the market.
should I fully lock the diff? or only limited lock?

ripper, the ABS/PVC is of course from drain pipe. If you can find size that matches your 1/5 rims, that'll be best. I post another trick that Japan drifter use as PVC replacement, check it out at Team No Secret board. It's a sheet of hard rubber or PU or PE (Thai) cut and wrap glued around the rim with metal tightening ring to hold it in place when glue is curing. Since your front is freewheeling and weight is mostly to the rear, most possibly your car will understeer. Depending on how much your understeer is, try to balance the front by putting some weight (tin/lead) probably at your bumper foam. Increasing your rear ride height may also shift your car weight to the front. With RWD, it's very tricky in fact i would say very hard to drift because the front does not pull which is important when cornering. The setup and the balance are the determining factor. I am not sure if 1:1 scale RWD like Supra have some general setup info on the net, that would be very useful.

Wah X 2 a 1/5 !!! A nice car to play with.
I think for the setup u can refer to the 1:1 scale setup cause u got RWD and front brakes if not wrong + u got brake bias which can help u in the weight tranfer.
I think u need hard spring in the rear and a 90% lock rear diff and try to find a less grip tyres for the rear.
Sorry i cannot help much as i only drive a 4WD 1:10 RC car and have not much Exp in 1:5. But the setting should be around there.
