Greetings SG Drifters!!!!
This new thread you see here was created with the intention of helping the RC Drift community in Singapore to improve our drift handling skills during practises in our regular tuesday drift meets.
As we all know, more and more people are slowly getting into this new hobby of RC Drifting, and as a result of that, we have decided to implement 2 steps to further improve our local skills.
1. In future RC Drift meets, Cones will be placed at certain important corners of the track in directional order to guide you towards each part of the course, be it near a corner and right at the edge.
This will help improve handling of your car in different scenerios, instead of just aiming for the nearest corner of the track all the time, forgetting about drifting close to the outer edge at times, which is what real D1 drifters do.
2. As time goes on, we will also hold short "battles" like we use to, where ice cream sticks will be drawn and places will be picked to go single, or one on one drifts.
This will help further improve handling skills especially on a twin drift level, as well as help drifters gain confidence during competition.
For those who do their own drift meets, we encourage you guys to implement this method as well!!!! We are all in it together to help improve the RC Drifting community in Singapore.
We hope that by doing this, we can prep up all our local drifters for competition level so we may see more exciting challenges in future held competitions, as well as get as many drifters up to pro level to handle any major event if whichever country were to hold an international or S.E.A. competition, we can start preparing now!!
If you have further questions about the changes added for drift meets, or have any comments to add towards this idea, PLEASE DO SO!
