this new thread is dedicated to those who are interested and wants to know more about this hobby that we are doing here...
Drifting is a art of driving your car sideways through a bend and alot of counter steering to bring your car smoothly through it. it is usually a feat done with Rear Wheels Driven cars, and cars that could do all this without hassles are usually wickedly modded. Horses under their bonnets are easily 300+, with some reaching almost a good 1000 ponies. BUT, but all that are for the real world, the 1:1 scale world!!!
In the RC world, things are very different!!! we uses Four Wheel Drive cars. they are usually stock with normal silver can motors. you DON'T need 23T or lesser motors. all you basically need for the RC Drift is a set of our "special" tyres, which are hell cheap. a silver can motor (AKA stock motor), prefered for longer running time. a Electronic Speed Controller, for more control on your throttle for all the different bends to drift. Put them all in a 1:10 Electric Powered car. WALA!!! you have yourself a good RC drift machines. NO heavy investment to your cars and equipments.
all you need is, invest some time to practice and join us to exchange pointers and tips so we all can improve on what we already have.
For all the "Old Birds": Drop in whatever you think might contribute to share more info to those who find this hobby great!
Cheerios.

err hi..may i noe how freguent is to maintain the car?? Basic mantainance must be carried out after every run, which is obviously, cleaning the car! On the other hand, taking out the rest of the gears for cleaning and relubication, is up to personal preference, I strip and rebuild my car once a month. And adding a quote: "Its better to regularly mantain your car than to fix whatever broke." - from a famous one.

For me i maintance the car when it need to maintan. Eg. like when u feel that the car respone is abnormal or there is something wrong.
And another Quote
"Why Fix what is not broken"

k well im new.. euh i gotta check the thingie my car is, probably i got something which can never drift cause thats just my luck.. anyway i live in the netherlands so i guess im d00med? (cant come to meetings and the shops your mentioning dont help me at all..) oh and do you really have to put pvc on the wheels? cause ive seen some vids that there was alot of smoke coming from the tires and i think you cant get smoke from the tires when you got pvc on them....? check this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=RcCbDWzSicQ this guy spins and your looking at his tyre (somewhere at the end) as far as i can tell its a normal tyre
